The two-day event, themed “Heralding a New Chapter: Collaborate and Innovate” and held in a hybrid format this year, is one of the major events to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the establishment of the HKSAR.
On 31 August 2022, our Chairman, Billy Tam and Vice-chairmen, Francis Sootoo and Steven Lai, attended the Belt and Road Submit 2022 at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre, organized by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council.
During the opening session, Chief Executive John Lee delivered an opening address, Financial Secretary Paul Chan gave special remarks and Secretary for Justice Paul Lam gave welcoming remarks.  More importantly, Vice Premier Han Zheng gave a video keynote speech.
The summit attracted over 6,000 senior government officials and business leaders from more than 80 countries and regions to take part in it.  Four project pitching sessions as well as over 800 one-on-one business-matching meetings were held during the summit.
