Professor Lalit Johri, Honorary Advisor of the IPPP conducted the IPPP Webinar titled "Strategies for Enhancing Community Involvement and Engagement in Public Private Partnerships" held on 26 February 2021. Professor Lalit, based on his extensive research on PPP project implementation in many countries, gave an interesting lecture on the six main causes on people’s resistance and  opposition on PPP infrastructure projects, and also proposed corresponding people engagement strategies in order to mitigate such resistance and opposition.  

 

The webinar was well received by members of IPPP, business partners and government officials from Hong Kong and Asian countries. United Nations ESCAP has circulated the webinar notice to the 40 member States. Professor MW Chan, Honorary Advisor of the IPPP acted as the moderator for the webinar.
