This year is the 14th Building Information Modelling Awards (BIM Awards). The annual BIM Awards aims at recognizing professionals and educators in the building industry, who are driving the industry’s transformation through the use of BIM and shaping the industry towards a more efficient and sustainable era.
Ir Steven Lai, a Council Co-opted Members of IPPP, has represented IPPP to be one of the judges in the advisory panel. In this year, the Autodesk Hong Kong BIM Awards 2020 has the following results:
  • 6 Award Winners
  • 2 Industry Influencer Awards
  • 8 Honorable Mentions
  • 2 Young BIMers of the Year
  • 2 Outstanding Students

Projects related to the six award winners are CLP 132kV Substation in Shing Kai Road; Design, Build and Operate San Wai Sewage Treatment Works; Design and Built Data Centre at Tseung Kwan O; Temporary Quarantine Facilities at Pat Heung; InnoCell at the Hong Kong Science and Technology Parks; and Kai Tak Sports Park.  Based on the result, it can give us the insight on how to apply BIM in PPP projects to achieve a more efficient and sustainable era.
